Description: On April 30, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock will headline a star-studded sunset concert in New York City at the UN General Assembly Hall.  Hosted by Morgan Freeman, Robert DeNiro, Michael Douglas, and Quincy Jones, this concert celebrates International Jazz Day—a day intended to unite communities all over the world to learn about the art of jazz, its roots, and its impact.


The performer lineup includes Tony Bennett, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Wynton Marsalis, Chaka Khan, Wayne Shorter, Christian McBride, Esperanza Spalding, Jack DeJohnette, Hugh Masekela, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Jimmy Heath, and many more!  The Americans will be joined by an international cast of musicians spanning different genres, including Richard Bona (Cameroon), Hiromi Uehara (Japan), Zakir Hussain (India), Angelique Kidjo (Benin), Lang Lang (China), Eli Degibri (Israel), and Romero Lubambo (Brazil).


Throughout the concert, performing artists and jazz experts, including Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terence Blanchard, Ron Carter, Jimmy Heath, and Danilo Perez will participate in an interactive chat backstage.  Tune in to ask questions, share your own story, and celebrate Jazz during this interactive two-hour musical event!
